Nā Kumu Hula BJ Kauʻinaniokalani Souza & Vincent Iokimo Palenapa Souza invite you to celebrate and perpetuate all things Hawaiian (Nā Mea Hawaiʻi) through the artistry of the Hula as shared with them from their Kupuna. 


With over 40 years of traditional Hālau Hula foundation, Kumu Kauʻinani and Kumu Iokimo received their nurtured training from their Tūtū Wahine Pauline Kailihaʻo Kekahuna affectionately known as “Aunty Pauline”, Kahuna nui/Kumu Hula John Keolamaka’ainana Lake, Kumu Hula Leilani Sharpe Mendez, Kumu Hula Kaulana Kasparovitch, & Kumu Hula William “Sonny” Kahakuleilehua Ching. 


Nā haumāna (students) experience hula (dance), moʻoʻōlelo (history), moʻomeheu (culture), ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language) Oli, (chant) and mele (song).


Papa (class) available for:

  • Kupuna (55 years of age plus)
  • Makuahine (30 years of age – 54 years of age)
  • ‘Opio & Wāhine (15 years of age – 29 years of age)
  • Kaikamahine (5 years of age – 14 years of age)
